This sweet girl turned 4 on May 30th—with her almost-birthday buddy.
We had a very small celebration at Brian’s parents house. I was so grateful Brian’s parents were willing to have the party at their house as I was a bit overwhelmed with everything going on. Remember, I would have still been in the hospital if I had stayed the whole 48 hours. Brian’s parents are so helpful—so wonderful! She had the table all decorated and Elna was so happy with it all! This is the first year I really felt like Elna understood how exciting gifts are. And Hattie’s face is pretty excited too!

She really, really wanted a new bike with wheels for her birthday. A few days before her birthday she had a pretty big meltdown in Target because she wanted us to buy her new bike right then. We already had one, but she didn’t know that. So, she was pretty excited when she opened her bike!
Brian had Elna pick out a birthday cake at Albertson’s this year, thank goodness! Elna LOVED her cake!
She wanted her piece to have her name on it.
I love this amazing girl who made me a mama. She is kind, sensitive, clever, silly, a good sister, and a wonderful daughter! We feel so blessed that she’s ours!
