5 months!

At 5 months, Elna:

-loves making new noises and talking.

-loves to jump in her jumping chair or on our laps as we hold her.  She has strong legs!

-just barely cut her first tooth!  It is sharp!

-sleeps 6-9 hours before waking up and wanting food (or much less when cutting said tooth)

-sleeps almost entirely on her tummy now.  We still put her down on her back, but she usually turns over to her tummy pretty quickly.

-loves dancing with her daddy.

-loves bath time and playing with her rubber duckies.  When she hears the bath water she starts panting and waving her arms around because she is so excited. 

-loves the mirror in her nursery (or any mirror actually)—when she wakes up from naps, we usually spend some time in front of the mirror—she gets very excited!

-has a great sense of humor and a great laugh!

Elna was just too darling this last week at church not to take some pictures of her after.  This is her third time wearing this dress and the first time she hasn’t had a complete blowout in it.  The week before she had a blowout in it while we were up on the stand because we were both speaking.  Brian took her out to clean her up and change her into a sleeper I thought I had put in the diaper bag, but came back in with her in just her diaper—very cute, but not exactly clothed.  A sweet girl in our ward came up and took Elna to change her into a spare outfit she had brought for her own little girl.  Very nice of her.

Elna’s toes needed a little touch up—thanks Heather!  Elna LOVES Heather and Daren!

Elna really likes jumping in this toy and we like having a place to put her when we’re making dinner or folding laundry.  Win win.

Elna spends a lot of time on our counters either in the bumbo or her reclining bouncy chair—she just likes to be near us when we’re working.
