Oh, just more pictures of my child sleeping. I’m always so amused by how they situate their dolls at night—like in the picture on the right. This kind of thing is very common, and I’m just surprised that they can fall asleep like this. And I love that she was reading Alfie as she fell asleep (picture on left) She loves Alfie!
“Mom, take a picture!” Okay, if I must. Ha! She then went on to orchestrate the posing/hugging with Harriet. They wanted to pose in their new night dresses from Grandma Elna and Grandpa in California.
Georgia had her 2 month appointment this day. She showed off by smiling, cooing, and even laughing for her doctor. She is the easiest and happiest little lady and adds so much love and meaning to our lives. Also, long and skinny1 96% on height and 33% for weight and head.
We went to Street of Dreams with Brian’s mom, his aunts, and Chris—these are the only pictures I took—the girls were SO excited to be on a school bus (which took us from the parking lot to the homes)
Do husbands/dads come better than this?? I really scored with this man of mine! I woke up after 8 (!) to a quiet house because he had taken all 3 girls on a walk. I have been so blessed with his 3 months off, especially as he lets me sleep in basically every morning. It has saved me!
This house! It might not look like much, but it had our whole hearts and almost our money. But, someone else put an offer on it and it went through. It had had 8 previous offers that had fallen through, so we weren’t panicked when we heard someone had put an offer on it. But this one actually went through. It was just perfect! 12 acres, a huge beautiful barn, an enormous 2- story shed, and a home that we could live in for many years before growing out of it and having to build another house on the land.
One of the views from the home. The other looked over the Columbia River.
I got a text from my friend, Angie, who had gone up to “our house” and took a picture of her girls in the same place as Hattie was in the picture above. We would have been neighbors with Angie’s family, and that would have been very fun!
My amazing view in the nursing lounge at church.
Swimming season is my favorite season!
Such a sweet sleepy view.
Twinners in pink!
Oh, just another Costco cart picture.
And another Hattie/Georgia picture. Harriet is constantly asking both to hold Georgia and to have her picture taken with Georgia…this the many pictures of the two of them together.
Oh, those Georgia newborn faces—I just want to bottle it all up and be able to open it up whenever I want.
Postcards from Uncle David!
Nothing quite like the beautiful glow of an IPad. Ha!
More incredibly cute Georgia faces!
Homemade salsa!
Elna and Oliver Summers.
Harriet, Elna, Oliver, and George.
Tall, skinny girl!
Such a fancy girl!
They got into their winter accessories…in August.
When we need to put Georgia down, this is usually what we do with her—she sits in the corner of the couch. She’s become a very good sitter and has very good torso and head control.
This is how Hattie looks right before she falls asleep in the car, which almost never happens—thus the picture.
At the beginning of summer, during Family Home Evening one Monday evening, we wrote down everything we wanted to do this summer. We then hung it up where we saw it every day and looked at it often for ideas of what to do. We didn’t finish everything, but we had a lot of fun!
One of the things on our list was getting donuts at Blue Star in Portland.
They were the best and most interesting donuts I’ve ever had. Voodoo donuts don’t hold a candle to these. We’ve been wasting our money and calories all of these years on Voodoo. Never again!
There’s a picture a lot like this of me, my siblings, and my dad, eating pastries on a curb in San Luis Obispo, when I was a little older than Elna. A fun memory!
The girls sat and played on this step near the curb we ate the donuts on. You can understand why I overuse the word “cute”…they just are so very cute!
I was trying to get a side-by-side of these two to show how much they look alike.
I took these pictures of poor Hattie who was so sick to show Brian at work. Being sick is the worst! But, we cuddled a lot, and I do love that.
My first solo shopping trip with all three girls. I didn’t do my hair, but I was dressed, so there’s that. I will call it a success!
