Seeing red.

IMG_2173

I took pictures these pictures of the girls after church.  Georgia and Elna were both wearing red (Elna is in a red dress that is covered by that cardigan), so I decided to snap a few pictures really quick.  I love love Elna’s sweet face in the picture above.  And Hattie’s face just makes me laugh!

Georgia’s smile (she’s looking up at Brian!) makes me swoon.  My girls are my everything!  I am so blessed!

Our Georgia girl is as sweet as can be.  She’s very happy.  Social!  She loves to be held!  She isn’t interested in any food yet.  She’s a fabulous nurser—still nursing every 3 hours all day and night long.  Not a great sleeper.  She’s had 4 colds in her 6 months of life, which is possibly the cause of her not sleeping much.  She loves to chat.  She’s a cuddly babe.  She drools and gnaws on everything (except food!), but still no teeth.  She loves showers and baths.  she loves herr sisters—they can make her laugh better than anyone else.  i hope I’ll never forget how it feels to hold this girl close while I rock her to sleep.  I love being her mama so so much!

O Christmas tree!

IMG_2120

The Saturday after Thanksgiving we went to one of the many Christmas tree farms near our house (and the same place we went last year and loved so much) to pick out and cut down our Christmas tree.  It was pretty chilly, but beautiufl!

IMG_2121IMG_2123

When Harriet gets cold she can’t even force a smile.  But Brian knows how to get a smile out of her!

IMG_2125IMG_2127

Hattie was so cold that she insisted on being held the whole time.  She and I are cut from the same cloth.

IMG_2129

Elna didn’t seemed very phased by the cold though, and had a great time exploring!

IMG_2158

Grandma Fae and Uncle Chris came at the same time as us to get their Christmas tree too!

IMG_2164

These next few pictures of Elna are so darling!  It kind of looks like she’s sitting in the air, but she’s sitting on a stump and being quite cute!

IMG_2166IMG_2167

She’s not even trying to be silly, but is just trying to balance herself on the stump.  She’s just too sweet!

IMG_2169

Love this girl of ours!

IMG_2157

I love this time of year!  I love picking out our tree, cutting it down, and setting it up in our house.  I love how a fresh tree makes our whole house smell amazing, and I especially love how the tree looks at night when it’s all lit up.  Yay for Christmas time!!

Thanksgiving, 2015.

We drove to Seattle to visit my wonderful cousin, Debby and her family.  This is our fourth Thanksgiving we have spent together, and we have enjoyed it every time.  We have a great time talking and eating yummy food while the kids play and play.

This picture still has me laughing.  Elna was anxious about sleeping in such a dark room, but seemed to be feeling okay about it by the time we left her to sleep.  Later, Brian went in to check on her and couldn’t find her anywhere.  She wasn’t in her bed, or anywhere else.  Finally, he found her in Georgia’s crib, sound asleep.  Poor girl, was probably feeling so nervous about the dark, she decided to cuddle with Georgia to feel better.  This picture just makes my heart so so happy!

IMG_9111

And this picture was taken later when we went to bed.  I love how she covered herself with one of Georgia’s blankets.  It’s all so sweet!

IMG_9121

These pictures were taken the next morning while we were trying to keep the girls happy and quiet.  I love how Georgia is chilling in Brian’s arms and  I love all of her stomach rolls.

We stayed until about lunch time on Friday, and then headed home.  I love that we live close enough to visit, but wish were just a little closer so we could see each other a little more often.  On the way home, we stopped at the Rootbeer Store so Brian could grab a bunch of different rootbeers to try.  We love rootbeer!

Utah trip (Brian comes!)

We picked Brian up from the airport on Wednsday, the 11th.  We were SO excited to see him!!!  After picking him up we went to Eagle Mountain to visit with Brian’s family.

Harris cousins—Jace, Elna, Georgia, Callie, and Hattie.

IMG_5709

Later in the afternoon we went to temple square with the girls.  We took a small tour of the conference center, and then over to the temple.

IMG_5706

If we touch the temple, the temple will touch us.  Oh, how I hope the temple will touch these girls’ hearts and lives.

IMG_5722

Right before taking this picture, I was taking a picture of Brian and the girls.  From about 50 feet behind me, I heard someone tell his friend to go take a picture of us.  It just happened to be my uncle Jim!  I love my uncle Jim (Amy’s husband, from previous blog post).  I lived with Amy and Jim at my grandparents house after college, and I just love them!  Jim swears he didn’t know it was me when he told his friend to take a picture of us.  Random, very small world moment!

IMG_8705

After temple square we took two of my brothers, David and Samuel, to dinner.

IMG_8706

Afterward we dropped both of them at each of their apartments.  The girls needed to use the bathroom at David’s apartment.  Here are the girls at his place.  We had such a fun night with them!

IMG_5730

Thursday we spent a lot of the day at BYU with the girls.  The Bean museum was so cool!

IMG_5741

In front of the new Provo City center Temple—so beautiful!  I sang in many BYU Women’s Chorus concerts here when it was previously the Provo Tabernacle.

IMG_5772

Hattie wanted to take some pictures too.

IMG_5758

Then she told us to kiss, so we did, of course—don’t need to be asked twice!

IMG_5784IMG_5789

Then Elna wanted a turn of course.

IMG_5805

I love this picture of Hattie!

IMG_8709IMG_8712

After our day at BYU, we came home to my grandparent house and ran around and played tag!  The girls could have gone for hours.

IMG_8720

We were all so happy Brian was with us!

IMG_8727

The only picture I took at the wedding dinner, which was the night before the wedding day.  It was a late night for the girls, but they were great and it was a lot of fun!

IMG_8729IMG_8733

Happy birthday to our very favorite guy!  I can’t even believe how blessed we are with him in our lives.  The best best best!  The girls are holding the birthday sign that I made 4 years ago when Elna was a baby and the only one in the picture.  I love seeing how the picture changes each year as the girls get older and we add to our family.

IMG_8771

IMG_8817

One last picture of the girls with their great grandparents right before they left for church and we left to go home to Oregon.  They gave them a Fancy Nancy book that the girls love!

IMG_5877

I will do a whole post on the wedding after this one, but on our way home we visited my little guy, Clark, and I loved seeing him and having the girls meet him.  He is so fun and sweet and talented, and kind, and I just love him!  I loved catching up with his parents too!

Weird to think this is my oldest and youngest.  My genes are certainly not very dominant.
