January little things.

IMG_0003

The girls look forward to mail each Monday when their postcards from Papa in California come.  They especially love the stickers!

I love that the girls did this with their postcards without any prompting from me-- I remember so many early Saturday mornings with my brother, David, doing the very same thing with my postcards.

Tyler, Hattie, Chad, and Elna.

During the winter months we spent Wednesday afternoon with our friends at the church building to play and ride bikes.

Sweet baby!

IMG_0047

Elna’s cute face!  And her feet.  And I’m just noticing all of the stripes.

IMG_0078

Elna did my hair and did WAY better than I could have ever done.  I think she may have found her calling in life…a doctor who does hair on the side. Ha!

The primary bulletin I did—I was pretty happy with how it turned out!

IMG_0128

A freshly cleaned baby right out of the shower.  SO much happiness in this picture!

Georgia has always sat like this with one leg out and one leg back.

Coloring early in the morning.  This picture makes me laugh—Elna is still wearing her jammies (so her!) and Harriet is dressed head to toe (even wearing a jacket!) and ready for the day (so her!)

Georgia the ballerina.  Their own little baby doll.

Out for a walk.

Another ride for Georgia around the house.

Helping Hattie.  Look at her stabbing that sweet potato!

Annie sent our girls these awesome masks.  So so darling!  The girls love them!

Hattie had JUST woken up, so still looks like she’s waking up.

I went on a trip with the girls to the mall to do some returns—the girls always love going on rides at the mall.

Popsicles in January—they look cold!

I wish these weren’t all so blurry.  I really need to figure out how to use my camera better so that this doesn’t happen.  But blurry or not, we love this 8 month old of ours!

Sickies.

IMG_0182

After dinner I lay on the bed (just outside the bathroom) while these three took a very long shower.  I went in and checked on them occasionally, but I also got a break and they were happy!  Georgia’s bumbo covered up the drain, so it turned into a bath, which was pretty thrilling to them.  And poor Harriet looks kind of sick because she had the stomach flu.  I had throw up on me more than once that day.  Oi vey.

()This is the first picture from my Instagram series with the hashtag #howimsurvivingtaxseason (I’m going to put a Chatbook together with all of the pictures from this tax season for Brian to take to work for his next tax season.  He has a few chatbooks at his office now, and his clients enjoy flipping through them, so I thought they might like a tax season specific book)).

IMG_0075

Look at the poor sick face all squished up against the couch.  Harriet is my easiest sick kid—she just lies around and sleeps all day.  She will sit up to throw up, not cry about it or anything, and just lay down again to go back to sleep.  You wouldn’t necessarily guess it by her attitude on a daily basis (she’s my whiniest kid)—but she’s awesome at being sick.

IMG_0287

Elna had a crazy rash that covered her entire body.  This picture doesn’t do it justice.

IMG_0334

Elna got the stomach bug too—why do I always take pictures of my sick and sleeping babies?  There’s just something so sweet about them when they are groggy and sleeping.
