I took these pictures of Elna at a stop light when she was singing songs with her doll and having her do the motions. Hattie does this a lot too. It’s pretty cute.
The girls played in this extra large box (that our dishwasher came in) for a few weeks and loved it. Here they are organizing the rice milk containers I got from Costco. I’m still finding rice milks all over my garage.
I was glad to have my phone nearby for this picture. The girls were waiting in line to get a stamp from Miss Annie at library time when Elna started hugging Harriet like this. These moments are what I live for as a mama. Elna is dressed up as Snow White because we were talking about the letter “S” that day at story time.
A few days before my birthday we went to dinner and dessert at Frenzi to celebrate, thanks for Brian’s parents. It was a fun night!
Brian and I went on a walk with the girls in the stroller, and part way through Harriet fell asleep. Our girls fall asleep so rarely out of their beds, it always seems picture worthy when they do. I love their little sleeping faces.
At the park with friends.
We still aren’t sure exactly how this bump happened. Elna says she was just sitting on the floor in the living room when she bumped her head on the window sill. I wonder if she blacked out and doesn’t remember, because it was a pretty big bump for what she described happening. I took a picture right away to send to Brian because I was actually a little concerned serious damage might have happened. The picture hardly does it justice—it was huge! A few days later I took a picture (the one on the right) of how it had progressed. Her eye was black and blue for more than a week.
Left: I came out to the garage to find the girls dolls strapped into the stroller, ready for a walk. Right: a gorgeous dogwood I saw on one of my walks.
She enjoyed her Red Vine.
This is just minutes away from our house. This is why we live in Troutdale!
About 34 weeks I think.
The girls really love library time with Miss Annie! She is just the best! Here they are dancing with scarves. Hattie is wearing pink and way up in the front near Miss Annie. The girls pretend they are Miss Annie all week long.
Drinking a smoothie and watching Aristocats.
I watched with them, and loved the cuddles!
When the girls hug this is usually what ends up happening. It’s the sweetest!
Hattie wanted me to take a picture of her helping dad.
Reading with Papa.
These new roommates made it through the night perfectly! They went right to sleep (it helped that we put them to bed a few hours late so that they were fully exhausted) and they didn’t wake up until their clock turned green. Hurrah!
Elna is reading Fancy Nancy to Harriet…in a less-conventional sitting arrangement.
Eating lunch at the park with friends.
Another park day with friends. Feeding ducks and geese that weren’t very hungry. We left the pond filled with bread.
It was at this park when Harriet fell 3 times and seriously scraped up her poor forehead, knees and hands. She was not a happy girl by the time we left!
My cute little mommies in training.
