We spent a wonderful Easter Sunday together as a family.
Brian got these pictures of me doing Elna’s hair—something we do every day, but a moment that has never been captured—I kind of love that he got a picture of such an every day moment.
People often comment, wondering how I get Elna to sit still for me to do her hair. And honestly I’m shocked that she lets me do her hair every day. She never fights it. p.s. look at her face! Have you ever seen a cuter shaped face than that?!
After we got the girls dressed we let them get into their Easter baskets. Luckily they didn’t even notice them before that.
The favorite Easter basket item came in handy during Sacrament meeting. They love goldfish crackers.
After church we went over to our friend’s place to do a little Easter egg hunt with Elna’s little friends. She had such a fun time!
After naps we headed over to the hospital to spend the rest of the day with Brian’s family:
He had some physical therapy that we were able to watch. He is working so hard!
Elna loves riding in the wheel chair with Papa.
We tried to get Harriet in the picture too, but you can see by her grip on Grandma’s shirt that she’s not interested.
Harriet lay like this for about 5 minutes I think. She’s such a busy mover, so it was very unusual for her to stay still for so long.
We ended the evening by eating Mexican food—an unconventional Easter dinner, but yummy and fun.
Easter is one of my favorite holidays! I love to celebrate our Savior and I feel so grateful for everything he has done for us! We talked with Elna a lot about what Easter means, and I hope that through all of the treats and activities she was able to feel the spirit of Christ at this time. When we asked her about it, I was amazed by how much she seemed to understand, and I pray that her sweet testimony will keep growing! Happy Easter!
What great photos and memories Lucy!!! I love the girls Easter dresses and also how you talked to Elna about the meaning of Easter! Great job!!!
