We look like such scrubs when we go to the park. Harriet is still a crawler, so I like that her pajamas can get dirty from a morning of breakfast and playing at the park and then I don’t care about removing dirt stains from cute outfits. And she stays warm!
Horses near my doctor’s office.
At Imagination Station park (Elna calls it the Church park because it’s right across the street from the church)
Elna’s favorite swing at the park.
Rock climbing. It was fun for me to see her figure it out and get to the top and back down.
Mowing the lawn.
Playing at the park with our good friends, the Summers. They live in Virginia, but they are originally from here and Kyle’s parents are our neighbors so we get to spend a lot of time with them when they visit. Park playing and as much card playing in the evenings as we could fit in. We really wish they would move back!
One of our favorite places- Costco.
I took this picture because I thought I should capture one of Hattie’s funny obsessions—she loves holding Elna’s panties. She will crawl around the house holding a (clean) pair for hours at a time. When Elna gets panties on in the morning she gets out a pair for Hattie too, because she knows Hattie will try to take hers if she doesn’t. So funny!
When we went to Chuck-E-Cheese with Char and the kids a few weeks ago, I accidentally left my credit card there. I called them and they said they had found it and I could come in any time for it. It is about a 30 minute drive and I didn’t need it right away, so I didn’t go in for about a week I think. When I did, they couldn’t find my card. They ended up calling the manager who I had talked to and he had it in his wallet (crazy, right?!) and I had to wait about an hour before he would be able to get there. So strange! But they did give us some tokens to use while we waited. The girls were thrilled. I have no good excuse for Hattie’s pajamas this time. They are just so easy…
Elna had a VERY difficult time leaving when it was finally time to go. I took her out in my arms screaming her head off. And she screamed the entire 30 minutes drive home. Just when I think things are going so well for Elna—like, she hasn’t had a tantrum for a while, and she’s just being so sweet and non-terrible-two-ish, something like this happens.
I love our library routine! Elna likes to check out the books, so she finds the stool, wherever it is in the library, and pulls it over to the checkout area.
Trying to put Elna’s flip flop on over her jammies.
Elna chose this outfit out!
Me and a very wiggly Hattie.
A candid of me and Elna working on the computers.
Sitting on the new benches at our park. We suggested the idea of building benches to a priest in our ward who was needing an idea for an eagle project. So glad he did it! They are used all the time by people at the park!
On a coin ride at the outlet mall near our house.
Sick girlie. First time taking a nap in probably 4-5 months. When it had been quiet for too long, I walked in and found her sleeping and knew something was up. Poor girl was not feeling well—had a fever and slept a lot.
She almost never sleeps in the car either, but she was out for most of the ride to Portland.
She mostly felt better the next day, but was still pretty rosy-cheeked.
A hiding Hattie and Elna painting a picture for Papa.
Hattie loves to lounge!
Very blurry picture of a moment I just had to capture—if there is music on the in the car, Hattie is dancing—I love it!
The girls love sitting on the tire swing at Imagination Station.
