The Saturday before Easter.

Saturday morning, Brian and Elna were out at the Home Depot (the only place I really let her go out with her jammies on) when our friend Stacy called and convinced Brian to bring Elna over for a community egg hunt that she was at.  Elna certainly wasn’t dressed for the occasion, and she didn’t have an Easter basket, but Stacy let her use her purse and she was good to go.

Later, Brian’s brother, Jared, came over to dye Easter eggs with us.  We had a great time and Elna loved having so much attention and love.  She loves Jared!

These two dyed eggs together, played hide and seek, ran around the house, and pretended to go on a picnic.  Elna soaked up all of that attention!

Brian blew the yolk out of a dozen or so of the eggs, and we took those dyed eggs to give to Papa.

In the picture on the left she looks unhappy, but she’s actually pretending to talk on the phone.

These pig statues (they had names: Portlanda, Porky, and Petunia) were outside the restaurant Brian was getting some dinner from.

Walking back to the hospital with our takeout.  These two melt my heart.

Trying to warm Hattie up to Jared’s lap, but she freaked out seconds after this was taken.  Jared left early Sunday morning.  We will miss him!
