The girls love playing in Dad’s office.
Elna: “What’s that, Daddy” (pointing to the poster) Brian, jumping up “I’m glad you asked!” Ha! He’s passionate about his job! Not sure she was looking for such an in depth answer…
The reason we surprised Brian at work was to tell him some exciting news. We brought him a Jamba Juice and at the bottom of the cup I had put a positive pregnancy test (that I had wrapped up very tightly in many layers of saran wrap)
He was very surprised!
And very happy! Finding out you’re pregnant is such an exciting, happy thing! Being pregnant for the next couple of months is not as exciting. September through November were rough for me, and thus for Brian and the family. One day when I was just so sick and laying on the couch I said to Harriet “I’m sorry I’m so sick” and she so sweetly replied “It’s okay, mom. You’re having a baby, and that’s a good thing!” At least one person had a happy perspective during that time.
