Punchbowl Falls.

Punchbowl Falls is a 4-mile hike round trip and a little bit scary in a few parts—as in, there is a sheer death drop to one side and a cable to hold onto on the other side, with about 3 feet wide trail to walk on.  I didn’t like doing it with Elna, but Elna didn’t seem to mind.  I think I’ll wait until my children are a little older before I do it again.

While on the hike we saw David Giuntoli, the main guy in a television show called Grimm.  I have never seen the show, but Angie had, and recognized him.  He was shooting scenes for a movie.  We saw him on the way up and the way down.  I also saw a blogger I follow, who lives in San Francisco, which was random.

I love Hattie’s little hands between her chubby legs.  Elna was cold.

Hattie is so happy and funny in this picture—her hair!  Elna was still cold.

Another hiker took the two pictures of Harriet above, asked for my email, and sent them to me.  So nice of her!

  1. What blogger did you see?! I saw one that I follow at the gym and it felt like a celebrity siting.
