Harriet—2 months.

Our cute Harriet is two months old and I can hardly believe it!  With Elna, I anticipated her month to month birthdays and always knew when they happened.  With Harriet I am lucky if I know it is happening and even luckier if I get a picture on that day.  Poor girl!  But even still we love this girl like crazy and think she’s the best and sweetest baby to ever live!  She hardly ever cries and is happy even when she isn’t sleeping enough…which has unfortunately been the case most of this month.  It’s hard to find time to hold her as often as I would like to—I try to take advantage of Elna’s naps to just hold her and love on her with all of my might.  With a demanding (but delightful!) older sister vying for attention, Harriet has patiently taken a backseat.  And oh, how I’m grateful she is so patient and easy!

This month I decided to do her pictures with Elna and I think I will continue to do this so that I can see both girls grow and change from month to month.  I love having two girls!

At 2 months, Harriet:

--is happy, happy, happy!

--loves her swing and spends way too much time in it (see above about the 2 year old that vies for my time), has started sitting in the bumbo and can hold her head up so well, doesn’t love tummy time, but is a really good sport about it.

--is tough—Elna loves to hold her and kiss her and isn’t always the gentlest with her.  Hattie takes it so well!

--loves to get our attention with her big smiles—so engaging!  She gurgles and coos and responds back to us when we talk/coo to her—so fun!

--weighs 11.8 lbs. (53%), is 23 1/2 in. long (89%), with a head circumference of 38 1/2 mm (56%)—long and skinny!
