I should have included this picture on our pumpkin patch post, because Elna drew it right after we went and the pumpkins are a good representation of what we saw there—orange pumpkins, green pumpkins, and a bunch of pumpkins that were orange and green.
Elna was supposed to be asleep, so when I heard little feet I was all ready to be a little bugged, when she showed me this note. She’s drawn lot of pictures for me, but never written a note like this. My heart! And in case you need a little transitioning: “I love my mommy because she cares about other people. Love Elna Fae Harris. I love you Mommy. Oh, I luv her!
She made an envelope with my name on it (love the spelling!) and put this heart in it.
I love that Elna can read to her sisters now!
Can’t even wait to get dressed before diving into a book after her shower. If I can’t find her, it’s likely she’s in a random nook of our house reading.
Very excited girls after a big library haul.
The girls are obsessed with The Princess in Black!
Proof of their obsession: after reading the first book, Elna created this mask (and not pictured, but just as amazing—a black cape made out of paper and arm cuffs)
And not to be outdone, Hattie found this raccoon mask and put on a tiara.
More reading (Princess in Black for Hattie, of course) at Grandma’s. I’m so happy they love to read as much as they do!
