Dry Creek Falls.

Hiking buddies.

Her face in the picture on the left is so her when she thinks she’s being sneaky or clever.  Like, “hey Mom, look at me—I’m walking all by myself on this log.” I love that look of hers!

All of the kids that went on the hike.

We hiked part of the Pacific Crest Trail on this hike // me and my (getting heavier each hike) hiking buddy.

Some action pictures of Elna running on the way back down the hike.

A slug!

Sydney really wanted to hold Hattie.  Anyone who knows Hattie knows she must really like Sydney, because she doesn’t go to very many people.

IMG_8593

And of course a little ice cream afterward.  Cute is what she’s made of!

We’re sure going to miss our hiking days once the weather turns colder!

A day in the life of a ballerina.

IMG_8361IMG_8363

Hattie is walking all the time now, but these were taken when she was still testing out her walking legs.  Watching her learn how to walk has been absolutely thrilling!

IMG_8367IMG_8370

IMG_8372IMG_8373

I love those chunky legs and that cute smile!  If I could only freeze this sweet girl in time and treasure this stage a little longer.

Swinging // picking raspberries.

IMG_8312IMG_8318

That thing Hattie is doing in the picture above where she is sitting on the arm rest…she does that all the time, and it drives me nuts!  She usually does it with her back facing the floor, so that if she fell, her head would hit the floor (or the fireplace in this case).  I can’t even keep up with her she does it so much.  If she’s sitting in a chair/couch she is sitting on the arm rest of it.  One day this girl is going give me a heart attack!

IMG_8383

Elna even insisted on wearing her tutu out to dinner.

And just to keep it real, Elna and Hattie cried all the way home from Veggie Grill and Voodoo Donuts.  Why?  They both wanted an (empty) gift card, but we only had one.  Hattie mostly cried for the entire ride home and Elna just chimed in when she felt like it.

The next morning, Elna insisted on wearing the same outfit again.

I really, really love this picture!  Pure joy!

IMG_6773IMG_6774

Notice Elna’s panties over her diaper and shorts.  She loves putting other people’s clothes on herself—especially Elna’s panties.  Hopefully that means potty training will be a cinch!

IMG_6777IMG_6778

Harriet is getting really into baby dolls and I love it.  She loves holding them, cradling them, and kissing them.  I think since she’s starting walking, she’s now able to carry the dolls around, so she is more involved with them, and they are her new favorite thing.

A little mariachi girl shaking her maracas (we made them a few months ago on Cinco De Mayo--from spoons and plastic Easter eggs)

Hagg Lake Triathlon, 2014.

IMG_8133

Family picture right before starting the triathlon.

IMG_8135IMG_8136

Brian coming out of the water.  His swim portion was super fast!  He was the first in his division and 3rd fastest swimmer out of all of the racers.

IMG_8331

Uncle David took this picture of Brian and you can see me taking a picture of him from the other side (in the picture above)

Uncle David and Aunt Regina with Hattie.

Waiting for him to finish the biking portion.

IMG_8157

I love when our girls play like this together.

IMG_8154

IMG_8166

There he goes!  He was super fast on this part too!

IMG_8172

Starting the run.

IMG_8183IMG_8184

We were so excited and so proud when we saw Brian coming in from the run.  He works so hard for his goals!

IMG_8188

His cutest cheerleaders!

IMG_8215

IMG_8202

Brian’s mom, Aunt Regina, and Uncle David all came too to cheer Brian on.

IMG_8205

After the race the girls and Brian swam for a little bit before eating lunch.

It was a fun morning, but this girl was so tired on the way home, and fought sleep the entire way.
