October little things

Watching General Conference on our laptop.  Someday we might have a TV—it would sure make watching Conference as a family nicer.

While I was on my girls trip in Sunriver, Barbara took the girls to ballet and took these pictures of the girls.

Brian sent this picture that Elna drew while I was gone.  She got all of the kids ages right—5, 3, 1, and she at least got that I was older than Brian, but 56?  I feel old sometimes, but not that old!

He also took this darling picture of the girls waiting for Elna to get home from school—love it!

Also while I was gone—doodling during Stake Conference.  She must have really missed me. Ha.  I love this girl!

We had a busy summer.  We tried to get all of these fun things marked off of our summer fun list.

Nap time.  I’ll never stop taking pictures of my sleeping children.

We sent this picture to my parents to announce our pregnancy.

I love that Elna can read pretty well now.

More ballet.

Harriet loves loves having her hair done.  Sadly, she doesn’t have a ton of hair to work with yet.  But this is one of her favorite ways for me to do her hair.  I usually just do it for ballet days, but she’s be thrilled if I did it every day.  Her perception of what it entails/the end product is different than how she describes it to me when she requests it.  “Will you do my hair like this” (she then does lots of loops motions with her pointer fingers) “and then curl it up in the back?”  No loops and no curls, but this is what she wants above.  Funny girl.

The girls LOVE going to the pet shop and could easily spend an hour there.  It’s fun to watch their wonder and excitement.  A perfect rainy day activity!

I debated over on Instagram on whether or not to buy school pictures…still haven’t decided.  Does that mean it’s too late to decide?

Brian’s cape and hat came in the mail—thanks Mom!

Just being cute!

I got Elna this shirt from a thrift store while I was getting Halloween costume pieces, and she wore it this day.  When she got off the school bus and the girls were walking into the house, we overheard Harriet asking Elna about her new shirt: “Did your teacher not just like it, but LOVE it?” I just die over the sweet things this girls says every day!

Harriet trying to share something with Brian’s dad from a book.  When we get to Brian’s parents house, Harriet gravitates towards DeWin more than any of our other kids.  She reads with him or watches something with him.  Funny girl.

What I made for the girls for Halloween dinner.  Veggie dog mummies and crazy monster mouths.  They were thrilled and it was easy.

Harriet often asks for me to take their picture when they are in the Costco cart.  Hard to resist!  This was Halloween day.

Happy Halloween!
