February 2, we went on the MAX train downtown with Angie and Cody Holwege for a fun day in Portland.
Elna was all ready for Angie and Cody to get to our house so we could leave for the train.
Waiting on the train platform for the train. I’m so so happy that I captured Elna with her protective gesture—it’s one I see often from her. In parking lots with Hattie, when she takes Hattie to nursery, or when they are doing something they are nervous/shy about. Elna is about as sweet as they come, and I’m so thankful I got her first so that she lead our pack of girls!
This is one of the first times I put a top knot in Elna’s hair, and I couldn’t believe how much older it made her look. She is such a beautiful girl!
Chasing geese along the waterfront.
We stopped by the fire station to see if they would give us a tour. They were so friendly and gave us a great tour! Elna was feeling brave, so she got in for a picture, but Hattie wanted nothing to do with it.
Our group in front of one of the trucks.
Back on the waterfront.
Food trucks for lunch. It’s always so hard to decide which to go to—so many options! I got a falafel wrap and the girls got grilled cheese from this truck. I helped finish their sandwiches—best grilled cheese I’ve ever had! I’m grateful for our friends and for where we live. We are blessed!
Love the protective Elna with topknot. Cute girls!!
