We picked Brian up from the airport on Wednsday, the 11th. We were SO excited to see him!!! After picking him up we went to Eagle Mountain to visit with Brian’s family.
Harris cousins—Jace, Elna, Georgia, Callie, and Hattie.
Later in the afternoon we went to temple square with the girls. We took a small tour of the conference center, and then over to the temple.
If we touch the temple, the temple will touch us. Oh, how I hope the temple will touch these girls’ hearts and lives.
Right before taking this picture, I was taking a picture of Brian and the girls. From about 50 feet behind me, I heard someone tell his friend to go take a picture of us. It just happened to be my uncle Jim! I love my uncle Jim (Amy’s husband, from previous blog post). I lived with Amy and Jim at my grandparents house after college, and I just love them! Jim swears he didn’t know it was me when he told his friend to take a picture of us. Random, very small world moment!
After temple square we took two of my brothers, David and Samuel, to dinner.
Afterward we dropped both of them at each of their apartments. The girls needed to use the bathroom at David’s apartment. Here are the girls at his place. We had such a fun night with them!
Thursday we spent a lot of the day at BYU with the girls. The Bean museum was so cool!
Trying on hats at the BYU bookstore.
In front of the new Provo City center Temple—so beautiful! I sang in many BYU Women’s Chorus concerts here when it was previously the Provo Tabernacle.
Hattie wanted to take some pictures too.
Then she told us to kiss, so we did, of course—don’t need to be asked twice!
Then Elna wanted a turn of course.
I love this picture of Hattie!
After our day at BYU, we came home to my grandparent house and ran around and played tag! The girls could have gone for hours.
We were all so happy Brian was with us!
The only picture I took at the wedding dinner, which was the night before the wedding day. It was a late night for the girls, but they were great and it was a lot of fun!
Happy birthday to our very favorite guy! I can’t even believe how blessed we are with him in our lives. The best best best! The girls are holding the birthday sign that I made 4 years ago when Elna was a baby and the only one in the picture. I love seeing how the picture changes each year as the girls get older and we add to our family.
One last picture of the girls with their great grandparents right before they left for church and we left to go home to Oregon. They gave them a Fancy Nancy book that the girls love!
I will do a whole post on the wedding after this one, but on our way home we visited my little guy, Clark, and I loved seeing him and having the girls meet him. He is so fun and sweet and talented, and kind, and I just love him! I loved catching up with his parents too!
Weird to think this is my oldest and youngest. My genes are certainly not very dominant.
I enjoyed this post Lucy. What a full and blessed life you have.
