We met Brian downtown for dinner after he spent a day downtown for a CFP (Certified Financial Planner) review class.
The girls love the train ride!
“Cheese” with eyes closed and all. Her smiles are my favorite!
Went to the park with friends to feed ducks. The girls loved it!
Mouth stuffed with bread.
I try to keep this stool up on the counter these days for this very reason—she is not quite stool safe yet, and will often climb atop counters and perch in scary places. I’m constantly having almost-heart-attacks over it.
Reading with Daddy. I love the picture on the right of both Brian and Hattie yawning. This was the result of two nights in a row of no sleeping for Harriet. She was teething a fat molar, had a fever (note the rosy cheeks), and was crazy constipated. And I had the stomach flu. Brian was tired from getting up with Hattie every night and together we were just a mess.
A close-up of my pretty, but sick girl.
But a feverish/teething baby sure makes for sweet cuddles.
And a sleepy one.
We were walking through the parking lot and Elna was excited to see “an E for Elna”! // Elna wanted to take a picture of our first tomatoes to send to Daddy at work.
Reading together on a lazy morning.
Harriet doesn’t look thrilled here, but she is actually just saying “cheese”
The girls loved babysitting our friends’ fish. Remember how Hattie climbs on top of the counter tops? Exhibit A.
This picture of Hattie bringing me my walking clothes (without being asked!) because Brian got home from work—she knows our routine! // Hattie ready for family prayer.
Getting her walking shoes on // Exhausted in Daddy’s arms.
Rice cakes!
The girls helping me mend.
Elna insisted I hang this garland in her room (that I made for her first birthday party, but then stowed away). Every time Hattie saw it for the next few days she would say “woah!”. Cute girl!
This is what I see when I walk into Harriet’s room most mornings. Elna brings a big stack of board books in, and they read or they play. While I sleep…Elna is an amazing helper!
Both of my girls loved the mirror after naptime as babies and toddlers. I will miss these moments with my babies!
Just a typical day for us…some days.
And a very untypical naptime, because she’s actually sleeping! She does this about once every three months. The mattress pulled off and the mess is very typical.
One of my favorite things to do with my girls is read! I’m glad they love it too!
And they love to read with Brian too!
It was much too quiet during “quiet time,” so I went to go see what she was up to. She wasn’t in her room and I couldn’t find her anywhere. I then heard her sweet snoring as I passed the living room, and there she was, sound asleep.
A close up—she slept there for another hour at least.
Brian and I did three day dates in September, floating down the Sandy River. Best date ever! Lots of talking time, out in the sun, and free!
Her poses and sunglasses crack me up here!
Oh, I really wanted Hattie to look up, since she had her sunglasses on too, but she wasn’t playing along.
I love to have a small glimpse of a day at your house!
