Ward Halloween party.

The weekend before Halloween our ward had a Halloween party at the church—a chili cook-off and a trunk-or-treat.  I made a yummy vegan chili that turned out great—didn’t win a prize, but it was all eaten, so I’ll take that as a good sign!  Our girls looked so cute in their costumes—Harriet was a ladybug (Elna’s costume at her same age) and Elna was a bumblebee (a costume my parents gave her this summer at Yosemite).  They were absolutely darling!

Harriet was a good sport, but pretty tired.

Elna loved being a bumblebee!  She loves to say “zzzzz” and then go around stinging people with her index finger.  It’s pretty cute!

We didn’t stay for the trunk-or-treat since Elna didn’t even know it existed and it was already way past her bedtime.  We probably won’t be able to away with skipping it next year, but we were ready to get the girls home and to bed and Elna had already had a great time!
