Harriet turned a month old 6 days ago…and yeah, she’s definitely a second child—with Elna I was really good about doing posts on the actual day of her milestones—with Harriet I barely have time to shower, let alone do blog posts on time. I’m seriously amazed by parents who have more than 2 children. How?! I suppose we’ll cross that road when we get there.
Harriet is such a gem! Seriously, there isn’t a sweeter baby than our cute Hattie! She is so calm and flexible to all of the chaos going on around here. She just rolls with the punches—something I’m still learning to do myself.
At one month old, Harriet:
--is a pretty descent sleeper. I usually only feed her once during the night, somewhere between 2 and 4 a.m. Not bad!
--is a good little eater and is starting to get a little double chin to prove it! Loving it!
--is almost always calm, but has definitely found her voice. She can go from a 1 to 10 in volume in half a second.
--has the widest eyes, pensively taking in the world around her. People often notice her big eyes and whenever they do I am happy inside because her great aunt that she was named after also had notably large eyes.
--has a smile that melts me in two.
--sweetly coos and gurgles and makes me want to stop everything I’m doing just to talk in my silliest voice to her.
--has completely won us over!
These babies grow so fast! I'm off to Seattle to see Debra et al. I hope Jonathan recognizes me!
ReplyDeleteLucy, she is sooooo cute!!!
ReplyDeleteOne month already? Wow!!! where does time goes? She is adorable Lucy!!!
ReplyDeleteHow can she already be one month old? I didn't know you had done so many updates, because somehow when I am not blogging, I assume that nobody else is, either. I love her big, curious eyes. She seems so interested in everything around. Isn't it awesome how much love you can have for a 2nd child? I remember before Oliver was born thinking, "well, poor kid - there's no way he'll be as cute as Tristan, but I'll try to love him anyway" ha! The second children always show you that there's no limit.
ReplyDeleteOh, she is so precious!
