Elna & Orva.

My cousin Christine and her family came through Troutdale a week ago and stayed a night with us. It was so fun to catch up with Christine and for Elna to get to know her little cousins (once removed). Elna loved them! Christine named her oldest girl Orva after her mom (my mom’s sister). And I, as you all know, named Elna after my mom. Our moms are the best of friends and were the two oldest children in their family of eight kids. They were also both named after their grandmothers. The original Elna was my grandma’s mother and the original Orva was my grandpa’s mother.

I LOVED this post! So fun to see all the generations of wonderful women and babies! And--I've never seen a kid picture of your mom--I love how I can see all of the Clark children in her cute little face!

I love this - so great to see all these generations. And all the pictures of our moms together just make me happy, because they are a such good example of best-friend sisters. Christine's little Orva and your Elna are so darling with your books - all of Elna's faces were cracking me up.

Oh I love this! We have 3 generations of brothers with the same names. Patrick and Dennis. And they are my favorite names ever, because they mean so much.

Mr. and Mrs. Harris

She's a feisty, fast-walking California vegan who loves dark chocolate, design and delving into a good book. She's giddy for Brian, baby E, chandeliers, old bottles, and 80's music.

He's a mild-mannered, moseying Oregonian carnivore with a great sense of humor, who loves his girls, golf, BYU football, competing in triathlons, his country tunes, and all things orange.

She's learning to mosey, he's hanging her chandeliers, and they both love their beautifully remodeled home, bottled root beer, back-gammon, pizza, oranges, camping, swimming, Rook, dancing their way through Portland, and their sweet little girls.

Little E is perfect! She is smart, funny, and full of energy and passion for life! She can be hard to keep with. There's nothing she loves more than being outside! She also loves reading books, singing songs, being with her grandparents, playing with dolls, and being a great sister to little H!

Our newest addition, Miss H, is such a sweet gift to our family. She is calm! She has big, wide eyes like her great aunt Harriet that seem to be soaking up this new little life around her. With all of the chaos she has been very happy & flexible-- thank goodness!
