We blew up this pool on a hot Saturday in June. It was smaller than we thought it would be. Elna wasn’t sure what to think (though she eventually relaxed enough to poop in it…which you can see if you look closely at the last picture. Sorry.)
Elna is “talking” to her friend Sara who you can kind of see on the other side of the fence.
Elna held this postcard from GC (Grandpa Clark) for a good part of the day. The middle picture shows her barking like a dog and the last picture shows her trying to kiss it. Funny girl. She’s seriously obsessed with dogs. When we walk/run in the mornings she is constantly on the lookout for dogs and birds.
We do pushups most nights. Elna likes to do them too.
This is why every kid deserves a dad. Dad’s are just better at building things. Elna is in such a fun stage of learning—I love watching her figure out how to put the pieces together, how to stack, and how to do puzzles. She soaks up new things so quickly!
I love the joy in her face in that picture on the right!
I have been trying to capture Elna in this moment for a while now. Whenever she hears a dog or a bird, she holds her one pointer finger up in the air (like the picture on the left above) and with her mouth in a O shape and her eyebrows raised she says “ooh ooh ooh” and then either barks like a dog or chirps like a bird. There is almost nothing cuter!
She is a lucky girl to have this guy as her dad!
I love how she looks like she is doing cobra and then down dog in the push up pictures. such a cute girl!
ReplyDeleteI love the pictures of Elna looking out the window! Is she walking?
ReplyDeleteHoly cow, when did she get so old? She has so much hair - I love her little braid. I should try that in Cindy's hair. I love the pictures of her in her little red suit in her mini pool. And her legs!! When she's looking out the window, her legs are just so perfectly chunky. I also love how she likes to do pushups with you guys. She seems like she's in such a fun copying/learning stage.
ReplyDeleteOh! Josie has that zebra and pink dress but in a bigger size. I love the age that Elna is. Age 1 is one of my favorites!
ReplyDeleteThat girl of yours is so stinkin' cute!! Yes, I agree! Our little ladies would be good friends. Oh, why can't we be neighbors?!?
