May 2012.

Warning— I haven’t been an awesome blogger the last few weeks, so there will be a ton of pictures coming your way…

Elna has been free-standing for a long time—since the beginning of May.  These pictures are from the first day she started doing it really consistently.

I love these faces she makes—so full of concentration.

Every time she does it (and she does it all day long!) she screams really loud in delight and either claps or throws her arms up in the air. We tend to scream every time she does something cool, so I’m pretty sure she’s just copying us.  The next picture captures her excitement pretty well—she is very proud of herself in this moment—standing (and on her bumbo to boot!)

Brian reading to Elna—look at those big tired eyes of hers!  Elna’s night time routine consists of dinner at 6:00, bath time (usually with Brian’s assistance), reading time (also with Brian) and then nursing and bed.

This girl loves her shoes!  (check out that saggy diaper!)

The picture on the right shows her screaming out of excitement—I love it!

See that bruise on her forehead?  That’s from falling off the back of our couch.  I pull her off the top of our couch and bar and bookshelf 20 times a day at least—somehow she got away with this one…she was pretty sad.

She loves to push all of our chairs from the dining room table to the furthest possible place they can be pushed.

  3. Really cute pictures Lucy! If she gets that excited standing I can't wait to see what happens when she starts to walk!
