I love my mom! I only wished she lived a little closer. But since she doesn’t, I’m very grateful for every visit I get with her. At the end of January she came for a week to work on baby projects with me. We made the bumpers and skirt for the crib (when I see “we” I mostly mean my mom since I’m not quite as talented in the sewing department as she is. I did a lot of ironing though and also made a little ruffle pillow (from an easy tutorial on this site) for the rocker in the nursery).
I hardly took any pictures—I could kick myself!
This is how the dining room looked the entire week.
On my mom’s last day here we were in a time crunch trying to get everything done before her flight. My mother-in-law, Barbara, came over to help and run some errands so that we could get everything done in the small amount of time we had left. So nice of her!

(I will also take a picture of the crib skirt, but once it’s on the crib)
This is one lucky baby!! I love all the sewing projects. Lucy the pillow is darling!!
ReplyDeleteLove it! Most of my projects wouldn't be complete without your mom's help (baby books).
ReplyDeleteBelieve me, a good ironer saves many hours on projects. Don't sell yourself short.
The pillow's great too!
i LOVE all of this!!! did the knobs work!?!!!
ReplyDeleteAren't moms who sew the best? I'm failing my children miserably, because I don't even own a sewing machine. That ruffle pillow is adorable! I'm guessing it would be hard to make without a sewing machine, though?
