Christmas morning we had church at 9 a.m., so we didn’t have a ton of time in the morning to do Christmas like we normally would, so we did our best to make the girls feel like they still had a fun Christmas morning. They opened up fun sugary cereals—we thought they would love them—turns out they didn’t really eat much and were just pretty hungry at church—oops. We’ll have to remember that for next year. We loved being able to go to church on Christmas. I wish all Christmases fell on a Sunday!
We hung their Christmas dresses on the tree for them to find. I loved their dresses this year!
And then once we were all ready to go, they opened stockings.
Such beautiful little girls!
They asked for an indoor jumpy house from Santa—which was convenient—since we got them one in June. Just a one-time nudge from me about a jumpy house we saw in a toy magazine was enough for the to get the idea in their heads, and luckily it’s what they ended up asking for. This whole Santa thing is still a little unknown territory for me. What if they had wanted something else? So far, they have been very impressionable, luckily!
They were SO EXCITED! They still use it all the time! It blows up in less than a minute!
My favorite thing is watching the girls get so excited about exchanging gifts with each other. So much love and excitement! Elna got Harriet a set of 14 Carebear figurines—they’re so cute! Harriet got Elna a Cinderella barbie-like doll, which was a huge hit! And Hattie also got Georgia a baby boy doll—before she even knew if we were having a boy!
Princess in Black costume pieces, because they are obsessed! My mom made these for the girls when she was visiting at the beginning of December. Such a hit!
Mermaid tail blankets
We spent the afternoon with Brian’s family. We did the gender reveal again with them:
A boy! So exciting!
Papa created a scavenger hunt for the girls to find a gift—they loved it!
George and Georgia
A wonderful Christmas spent together with family!
