Millions of peaches.

We went peach picking near Hood River and ended up taking home 150 lbs. of peaches.  They were so yummy!

My little peach slept most of the time.

The girls and our haul.

IMG_4670

Our kitchen was a sticky mess for a few days as we ate peaches and cut and froze the rest.  A HUGE thank you to Brian’s parents who came over the large part of a day to help us get them all away.

I love this picture of Brian, his parents, and the girls.  Elna is wearing a few hats and both girls are just so excited to have their grandparents attention.  We sure love living so close to them!  And we are thrilled to have our freezer filled with peaches!

Georgia, 3 months.

IMG_1479

Georgia was such an expressive little 3 month old!

IMG_1480

She looks just like her daddy.

IMG_1475

I used the older girls to test for lighting before setting Georgia up.

IMG_1490

I figured I might as well snap some pictures of all 3 girls while I was at it.

This girl adds so much sweetness to our little family!  She’s as healthy and as happy as can be!  She is a fantastic little eater, loves showering when she’s lucky enough to get one, will talk to anyone who smiles at her, is still waking up about 3 times a night to eat, is a pretty good napper, and she loves to be held by anyone who is willing.  We are so glad she joined our family!

Mirror lake.

Before the Summers left Troutdale (to go home to Virginia) we decided to hike to Mirror Lake, near Mt. Hood.

IMG_6787

These kids had fun together, hiking and climbing rocks—Elna, Oliver, Emma, George, Ava, and Harriet.

IMG_6807

Such a pretty lake and hike!

Happy little hikers with their backpacks.  They really wanted to carry their snacks and water bottles in their little backpacks, so we let them,  of course.  I really enjoy these girls of mine!

Grandma Elna in town!

IMG_6752

My mom came Saturday morning and stayed for a few days after the blessing.  Big yay for more time with her!

IMG_6754

If this picture had sound, you would hear Elna saying “Georgia, Georgia, hello, uh huh, yes, I love you, a goo goo goo” with lots of inflection and sounding a lot like me when I talk to her.  It makes my heart happy to hear Elna loving on her baby sister!

IMG_6756

Brian’s dad finished a week with the 11 year-old scouts, so we went up to the camp on Saturday to play on their giant slip n slide.  The Summers met us up there.  Brian, Kyle, and the kids had a blast!  It was pretty chilly and windy, and I was nursing Georgia for a lot of it, so I decided not to go down.  Lindy and my mom sat it out too.  We had a great time watching though!

IMG_6759

This is the only picture I got of Brian going down.  He’s at the very top here.  I got some videos of him, but am having a hard time posting videos.  Brian had a blast, but got very hurt.  He bruised or broke his ribs and was very banged up after it all.  He says it was worth it though.

IMG_6762

Elna loved it too, and didn’t get hurt at all.  She was a lot more gentle in her approach. Very brave of her.

Monday we went down to the Sandy River with my mom.

IMG_6773

The girls loved going down the river with dad in their life jackets.

IMG_6778

Tuesday we met Angie, Dulsanna, and their kids at a fun beach near the airport that we had never been to.

Sydney and Harriet.  Such a fun day!

My mom left Wednesday morning—sad to see her go!  We almost always work on a big project while she is in town, but I’m so glad we just went and did fun things and enjoyed each other this time.

A blessing for Georgia Greer.

IMG_6725

Brian gave our Georgia Greer a beautiful blessing with such insight into her life and promise for her future.  A blessed girl!  And such a blessed family to have her!

IMG_6768

IMG_6723

I hope she will think of the men (George’s from both sides of the family) and woman as she grows and feel their strength and love and want to emulate their goodness.  She is named after some pretty neat people.

IMG_1402

These were the men in the circle—Kyle Summers, DeWin Harris, Brian, and Tom Clark.  Chris Harris was invited too, but when it came time for the blessing he wasn’t there, and we weren’t able to find him in time.  We were so happy my parents could come for the blessing and that Kyle Summers was in town—he is one of Brian’s closest friends.

The whole group. (Chris was told about pictures too, but showed up after we were done, so just pretend he’s there!)

IMG_1470

My parents gave this beautiful quilt (made by my mom) to Georgia.  The quilts they have given to us for each of our girls are beautiful and so special.  I adore these parents of mine and was so happy to have them in our home for a few days and at Georgia’s blessing!  Thank you!

Our little family!

Georgia, her mama, and sisters.

My mom snapped some pictures of me dressing and holding Georgia on her special blessing day.  The camera was on a funny setting, so unfortunately the coloring in the pictures is a little orange, but they are still beautiful to me.

IMG_1369

Georgia looked so beautiful in her white dress.

While we were taking pictures, Harriet was doing what she does best—reading a stack of a books.

Elna wanted to match with Georgia, so I put the older girls in white too.
