We’re going to the zoo zoo zoo!

We have been singing this song with Elna ever since we bought season passes to the Oregon Zoo.  She loves the song and sings it quite often.  She also loves going to the zoo, but it has been interesting to see what she is most interested in.  We thought she would love the animals, but she seems more interested in running around, climbing on benches, climbing up stairs, and on top of things, but not the animals as much.  Funny girl!

She has discovered pockets and kept her hands in them most of the day. It made me nervous when she was walking—especially going down stairs, but sure is cute!

Saying “cheese”—not sure who taught her to say that, but she sure knows how to do it to her fullest!

The monkeys were fun to watch—lots of swinging from  branch to  branch.

The next day we went again with the Stevensons (yes, Elna is wearing basically the same outfit…it was still clean I think)

Polar bear—fun to watch!

I wonder when I will feel like I can go back by myself with the girls.  Elna would go every day I think if I were up to it.  Every day she sings “zoo zoo zoo,”  “you you you” and “too too too” in her little high pitch voice and it seriously is one of my favorite things.  She could not be any cuter.  This stage is one of my new favs!

Harriet meets Elna, others, and comes home.

Elna was our first visitor—Elna brought her up right after she woke up.

Our new family of four—a little apprehension from both girls.

The night we came home Brian’s family came over late that evening for their traditional toasting Hattie’s arrival with root beer:
