In May, we had our first overnight company. Clark and his family were driving through Portland, and stopped to spend the night at our house! Clark is getting so big! He’s walking and “talking” and just so cute!

Table & Chairs.
After all of the money that we put into the remodel, we figured we’d be eating Japanese style for a while. But, we were lucky enough to find a great deal on a table on craigslist.com!
However, the table didn’t come with the chairs, and I had a tough time finding a great set of chairs that matched. After a lot of searching, I finally found a set of 4 chairs that seem to match the table pretty well. Unfortunately, the seat on each chair was a different fabric AND color. Together, Brian and I (but mostly Brian) reupholstered the chairs. I love how they turned out!

Celebrate!
Months ago (May, to be exact), Brian and I celebrated our 6 month anniversary.
It was also around the time of Mother’s Day. Brian bought me a pizza stone! We use it at least once a week-- usually more. We love it!
Here’s our first pizza:
We used to get our dough from Trader Joe’s and Winco. But, I have since learned how to make whole wheat dough that is fantastic!
He also surprised me with these beautiful flowers Sunday morning:
This first year of anniversary celebrations is so fun…a little party every month.

I would show you the garage, but I can't imagine that any stage of the project (especially now!) would be clutter free. But you should know that there is molding above the doors and windows in there too. When the Harris' do something (and I'm not talking about me and Brian so much here, but the Harris' he came from), they do it big! (At one point there was molding above the tile IN the showers...I think we all agreed that needed to come down. It's a lovely idea, but I'm just not that fancy).
