While waiting for Elna’s preschool ride I took a few pictures of the girls together.
Then the girls wanted a chance to take some pictures. So, Harriet took some of me and Elna.
And the Elna took some of me and Hattie.
It was such a beautiful day! Look at that sky!

That’s right, Elna—strike a pose! Hattie’s face and Elna’s outfit have me laughing pretty hard.
Running into preschool. Harriet loves the whole preschool routine as much as Elna does. She loves walking Elle in and seeing her get her school shirt on and then she always gives her a big hug. It’s all very sweet.
I have loved loved loved watching the girls learn to ride their bikes and love it so much. It’s the best thing to get out of the house and go for bike rides. Elna has gotten so good and fast and Harriet is so fast that she almost keeps up with Elna. It’s fun to see your kids get passionate about things!
On Thursdays we go to library time at the library right next to Brian’s new office. We can look out the window in the library time room up into Brian’s office window.
Elna goes straight from story time to preschool on Thursdays, so we eat lunch between. Brian joined us down in the parking lot.

A few days before Preschool started for Elna, there was an open house that Brian and I took her to. Afterward we got Jamba Juices. It’s nice to spend one-on-one time with our kids.

After we sign our kid in, they sign their own name at a little station. Elna writes her name very well!
We had a fun back-to-school feast with balloons and crowns and a fun meal. I made a few of Elna’s favorites—macaroni and cheese and crab.
We also introduced our theme for this year—Have Courage and be Kind. Brian also gave her a priesthood blessing. It was a special night. I hope that Elna felt the excitement of it all and will always love school and learning!
I had her answer some questions about herself—my favorite is that Hattie is her best friend and that she wants to be a mailman . And that she wants to sit on Santa’s lap this year.
And I took some really darling school pictures of Elna. She wore an outfit that Barbara bought her for her first day of school. Elna picked it herself! Pink, pink, pink.
Hattie needed some too.
