These two have a special connection.
A trip to the zoo.
I love these pictures of the girls!
I was taking a video of Elna going down the fireman pole, but instead I took a picture—this one—and when Elna was about half way down, I realized that and said so to Elna, and she got distracted and fell down the rest of the way on her bum. Sad. She hasn’t gone down since.
Elna and I had a real tea party by trying herbal tea for the Elna’s first time. Real tea has to be so disappointing for a little girl.
Hattie is going through a fun stage where she loves putting outfits on—here she has a few layers—Elna’s shirt and then her shirt over. Funny girl. And I love how much she loves reading. When she reads books she “talks” the entire time like she’s actually reading it.
Elna was pretty sick this day and just sleeping anywhere she could—Hattie did lots of cuddling with her.
Elna at her (a few months late) 3 year old well child checkup.
Elna’s hair first thing in the morning. I know some girls who would kill for a natural poof like that!
Boxes can be so fun // Brian takes pictures of Hattie sleeping a few times a week—there’s just something about a sleeping baby!
Elna found this old coat and hat of hers—they don’t fit very well anymore.
That’s a baby doll pacifier in her mouth—she kind of looks like a cute little Miss Piggy.
Another day at the zoo.
These two are the best!
Another sick day for Elna. I don’t remember her being sick twice in August, so maybe these are actually the same episode as earlier?
Hattie likes to tackle Elna when she’s sick.
I don’t remember what I was sick with, but I remember being very sick—obviously. Maybe it was whatever Elna had? This is why I need to be more current on my blogging. Mom’s should not be allowed to be sick!
This series of pictures is kind of blurry, but funny to me, of Hattie taking her diaper to the trash. She knows it’s her job and does it without me asking usually.
At the park.
And another day at the park.
We spend a lot of time together.
My children take their clothes off when they are about to eat…I know we can’t do it forever, but it sure saves on laundry stain removal.
We told Elna she couldn’t sleep with flip flops on, and she didn’t really put up a flight at bedtime, but when I went to check on her before going to bed, look at what I found on her feet! Funny girl!
Making s’mores with Daddy because she had a quiet “quiet time”.
Park with friends.
First BYU game of the season.
We thought Harriet would freak out during her sliver removal, but she was pretty calm. She was cracking us up by how interested she was in the whole process. And she’s holding tweezers. (it’s especially funny because the evening before Elna was flipping the entire time over a much simpler sliver that we removed from her foot)
This is what getting ready for looks like at our house usually. I am never alone. #littlefeet
