Matchy matchy.

IMG_6639

After church I convinced the girls to let me take some pictures of them matching.

When did she grow up?

My favorite of cute Elna!

IMG_6653

These two together are the best thing!

And she keeps on growing up too!

I really love this one.

Her face!  She was “reading” to me, and I somehow caught it at just the perfect moment--it’s just so her when she’s telling me a big story.

One of her favorite things to do is take as many books off this shelf as she can.  She’s very good at it!

And then there was grass!

It was a ton of work to get 14 yards of dirt from the driveway to the backyard, and we were very grateful for Brian’s uncle, David’s help.

I love this picture of Brian.  He and his yard that he’s worked so hard for.

And then Brian mowed it and it looked so pretty!  Our yard is finally coming together!

July 4, 2014.

IMG_6721

Making ice cream!  A new 4th of July tradition, I think!

Red, white, and blue! (those eyes!)

IMG_7763

We went to a Stake Pancake breakfast in the morning.

IMG_7766

It was fun to be there with DeWin!

IMG_7780IMG_7775

We ate a lot of blueberries.

Such a fun grandpa!

IMG_7814

Elna went on a walk with Brian to get raspberries and fireworks at some nearby stands.

Checking out all of the fireworks.

Elna isn’t a fan of loud noises and was covering her ears with her hands until Chris got his noise-cancelling headphones.  That changed everything for Elna.

IMG_7839

We did some little fireworks at the end of Brian’s parents driveway.

It was a late night for this girl.  Hattie slept inside during the fireworks, but Elna stayed up until past 10:30.  Of course the girls woke up by 7:00 the next morning…

It was the perfect holiday for our little family!  I love the 4th!
